A call is made from a mobile through the UHF repeater on frequency
R1, T2. This signal is heard by the mobile receiver on frequency R2
activating frequency T3 in the VHF mobile unit through 1/2 of the
DUAL CONTROLLER EAR2001-PRRE. The signal is then received at the VHF
portable radio on frequency R3. A response from the VHF portable is
transmitted on frequency T3. This signal is received at the VHF
mobile unit on frequency R3 which activates the UHF mobile on
frequency T1 through the other half of the dual controller
EAR2001-PRRE and is heard at the UHF repeater's receiver which is
operating on frequency R1. This activates the UHF repeater
transmitter on frequency T2 which re-transmits the response to the
originating mobile unit.
NOTE: THE VHF PORTABLE AND MOBILE COULD BE OPERATED IN BAND WITH
THE UHF MOBILE IF ADEQUATE UHF FREQUENCY SEPARATION CAN BE MAINTAINED.
