VOLUME CONTROL STANDARD ON EACH UNIT
It's unique design provides up to 46 decibels of cabin noise
attenuation when used with custom ear mold transducers. A noise
canceling electret microphone is featured to provide crystal clear
transmission from the aircraft's 2-way radio. Sufficient microphone
audio output is available to allow use with intercoms or portable
transceivers when equipped with the manufacturer's heas set adaptor.
The aviation HATSET COMMUNICATOR® weighs only 2 ounces
(less hat) and will attach to many types of head gear, including but
not limited to baseball caps, visors, and sweat bands.
A unique approach to the design of the Aviation Hat Set communicator is based on the little known fact that the HUMAN EAR DOES NOT SWEAT. By using custom fitted ear molds maximum cockpit noise attenuation can be achieved without perspiration. By comparison a standard headset with ear cups will provide about 24 to 26 decibels of noise attenuation with generous amounts of perspiration around the ears.
